Cheeses can be placed on the cheese board for as long as needed. Please remember that cheese has a certain fat content that can penetrate the wood of the cheese board. Depending on the duration of the cheeses on the board, certain grease spots may appear on the surface. To protect your cheese board, polish occasionally with food grade mineral oil.
